Prof. George Fytas of Max Planck Institute
for Polymer Research visited NISE-lab

25, 2018, Prof. George Fytas from Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research (MPIP),
Germany visited NISE-lab. Prof.
George Fytas and Prof. Longjian Xue conducted scientific discussion in-depth and
reached consensus on the cooperation issues. In
the future, NISE-lab will send
students to visit MPIP and conduct scientific studies there. MPIP will cover the
expenses in Germany.
Prof.
George Fytas has received the B.Sc. in Chemistry of the University of Athens.
He obtained his doctoral degree in Physical Chemistry from the Technical
University of Hannover with work on Brillouin spectroscopy of liquids. He hold
a professorship in the University of Crete, Greece. He devotes himself to the
mechanical properties of materials and phononic crystals, and has published
more than 270 papers in peer-reviewed journals such as Nature and Science. He
serves as an editorial board member in several journals such as Colloid &
Polymer Science.
